Mike Signer Raises $250,000, Endorsed by Ingrid Morroy
Monday, April 6, 2009
I just got back from Mike Signer's lieutenant governor campaign kickoff in Arlington, and will have video in a little while. For now, the highlights are the endorsement by Arlington Revenue Commissioner Ingrid Morroy (on somewhat of a winning streak after endorsing Jim Webb and Barack Obama) and the $250,000 Signer raised (from 800 donors, including 600 online). Signer also announced that "nearly 30 county or congressional district committee chairs [are] signing on as advisors" to his campaign. Finally, Signer released a 5-point strategy to defeat Bill Bolling, including "extend the Warner/Kaine legacy," "build on Barack Obama's victory in Virginia," "stay on the offense and know how to win," "be strong on national security," and "lead on the #1 issue for Virginia voters: jobs."
P.S. I forgot to mention that Signer has about $175,000 cash on hand.
