Deeds is going after McDonnell on abortion...This is part of a larger effort to depict McDonnell as he really is, a very conservative guy on lots of issues, among them abortion, public education and equal rights. This isn't really evident to a lot of people because McDonnell just doesn't come across as a great old ideologue. In his TV commercials, he's the friendly fellow next door, who like you is worried about the economy, jobs, the future. But it's McDonnell's past that Democrats hope catches up with him...
