FYI, I'm hearing that 47th House of Delegates district Democratic candidate Adam Parkhomenko raised around $40,000 during the first quarter of 2009. Parkhomenko will formally announce the news early next week. Out of the $40,000, about $24,000 came in online contributions. More than 300 individual donors contributed to Parkhomenko's campaign, with the candidate himself kicking in no money of his own.
No doubt, this is an impressive haul for Parkhomenko, who has at least two fundraising events scheduled for the second quarter -- one on April 29 hosted by Senator Patsy Ticer and another in May hosted by former Hillary Campaign for President Campaign Manager Patti Solis Doyle.
I'm looking forward to reports from the other 47th House of Delegates district Democratic candidates, and will post them here when I get them.
UPDATE: I talked to a senior Arlington Democrat who called this fundraising total "very, very impressive." He added that the challenge for Parkhamenko now is to translate that money into voter contact, etc.
UPDATE#2: Also, there are now extensive notes on the debate available at New Dominion Project.
