Wagner, McDonnell, and Bolling, the 3 Stooges of VA's anti labor laws. See more here: http://tinyurl.com/d7g3ddI went to the link provided by Edmonson, where she asks, "Has Jody Wagner been studying the Republican's talking points again?" Wow, talk about ratcheting up the rhetoric! Edmonson adds:
The candidates for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia met at a forum sponsored by the Young Democrats on Sunday, March 29, 2009. During this forum, Jody Wagner came forward with some shockingly Republican - like stances. And Edmonson provides video of Wagner talking about unions.
I asked the Wagner campaign for a response, and here's what they had to say:
Like Governors Warner and Kaine, and all three Democratic candidates for Governor, Jody would not eliminate Virginia's right to work law, but wants to focus on how to level the playing field for workers. We hope Pat isn't calling our two great Democratic governors, and her potential ticket mates, "stooges" as well.I also spoke with Jon Bowerbank, who said that he's a "progressive pragmatist" who believes in improved labor conditions and fostering communication between workers and employers. Bowerbank added that a "more efficient workplace is better for everyone." I asked Bowerbank if he supported the Employee Free Choice Act, and his response was essentially that it's a federal issue.
I've contacted the Signer campaign and am awaiting comment.
