RPV Chair: "vote Republican straight ticket" so it's official: McDonnell/Crabill '09Yes, believe it or not, Pat Mullins is seriously advocating that people vote a straight Republican ticket, including lunatics like Catherine Crabill. Given this, I think Chris Guy is onto something when he suggests we start calling this Republican ticket "McDonnell/Crabill '09." Or how about "McDonnell/Crabill/Cooch/and other assorted crazies '09?" Either one seems accurate.
As if all that's not bad enough, Chris Guy also points out that Mullins is now saying, "If you’re not better off now than you were eight years ago, you had better vote Republican straight ticket." This is so absurd on so many levels it's almost literally breathtaking. Just for starters, the fact is that our economy's where it's at now because of eight years of...Republican policies! Now that we finally threw those into the junk heap of history where they belong, why on earth would we want to go back to them? Only in the minds of people like Pat Mullins and Bob McDonnell.
P.S. Chris also points out that Terry McAuliffe sent out an email earlier this afternoon urging everyone to sign Creigh Deeds' petition "call[ing] on Bob McDonnell to condemn Pat Mullins’ remarks [about certain Virginians supposedly preferring to be on welfare] and demand an apology today!"
