Breaking: Unemployment Rate Falls in July

Friday, August 7, 2009

From the Washington Post:

"Breaking News" U.S. Employers Shed 247,000 Jobs in July; Unemployment Rate Slips to 9.4 Percent"

No, it's not great, but it's also another sign that we've hit bottom and are turning things around from the Bush/Republican Great Recession, in large part thanks to aggressive action by Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress (no thanks to Republicans, except for Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins).

UPDATE: The Post article adds that this "[s]howing offers strong signal that recession is finally ending."
