Governor Timothy M. Kaine has set Tuesday, March 2, 2010, as the date for voters in the 41st House of Delegates District to select a successor to Delegate David W. Marsden.
“It is important that the voters of the 41st district have a voice in the legislative process,” Governor Kaine said. “Holding the special election on March 2 will not only give voters time to learn about the candidates, but will allow for the distribution and return of ballots from voters overseas, including our men and women in the armed forces.”
The 41st House of Delegates District includes part of Fairfax County. The deadline for candidates to file to run for the seat is Friday, January 29, 2010.
