When President Obama gave a speech to American students last fall, featuring such radical messages as "Every single one of you has something that you're good at," he found himself the target of a right-wing smear campaign. Just google the words Obama indoctrination and you'll get over 3 million hits. The "report to the controversy" media eagerly ate it up.
So with religious groups pulling children out of school and shipping them to DC today to protest a woman's right to choose, the media is full of stories about how children are being used as political pawns ... right?
Uh, no. Shocking, huh? Instead, stuff like this is reported as news without comment:
Siblings Bert M. Morrison, 10, and Annie M. Morrison, 12, came with a group from Columbus, Ohio, to be a "voice for the voiceless," as Annie described it.Indoctrination isn't the only word that comes to mind. Horrifying ... disgusting ... feel free to suggest others.
"You know you're doing something good because you're saving innocent lives from being murdered," Annie said.
