SUBJECT: REVISION OF EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTSounds like a good idea, although even better would be to have a statewide policy barring discrimination against GLBT citizens. Still, good work by Stevens Miller in proposing this change, which I urge Loudoun County (and other counties) to adopt.

RECOMMENDATION: Supervisor Miller is recommending that the County Equal Employment Opportunity Policy be updated to include no discrimination based on sexual orientation. Supervisor Miller would also recommend the Board direct staff to revise other areas of the Human Resources Policy Handbook to comply with the updated non-discrimination policy.
