Think Progress on Bob Marshall's Bizarre "Virginia Health Care Freedom Act”

Another day, another great example of why we gave Del. Bob Marshall the nickname "Sideshow Bob." Because he's a combination of psycho and hilarious. Check this out.

Virginia Del. Bob Marshall (R) has seized upon [the right-wing American Legislative Exchange Council's] template “Health Care Freedom Act” legislation, and introduced his own “Virginia Health Care Freedom Act” to declare an individual mandate — a cornerstone of reform — unconstitutional. In an interview posted today, Marshall said the mandate reminded him of mobsters, and that national reform efforts are "criminal activity."

Marshall then goes on to rant about "whether you are a citizen or you are a serf" (WTF?) and how the government is trying to take "your soul" by expanding health care coverage to more Americans. Can we say, "cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?" See for yourself, we're not making this up.
