The Onside Kick cemented that message [that "they weren't afraid of going big and failing"] and even if they blew that too, they could still come away with a lot of respect for even calling that play.Unfortunately, right now we're "doubting" it. That needs to change, immediately.
We'll never know what would have happened if they played it safe but my guess is that they wouldn't be celebrating Mardi Gras early.
What's missing in Washington is that same bold play calling. Everyone is risk averse, wants to play safe, not make any tough votes, or seem "partisan". People are drawn to Republicans because, whether you like it or not, they aren't afraid of being bold. Strong and wrong rather than weak and right, you know?
Well, it's time for some bold play calling. I hope this is a step in the right direction.
Obama, Pelosi, and Reid: It's time for an Onside Kick! Step it up and if we're going to lose in November, do it in a way that leaves no one doubting if your hearts were in it to win!
