Super Bowl Sunday: Who You Got?

Sunday, February 7, 2010

If you're not rooting for the Saints tonight, it means you're a bad person.

I mean, how can you not root for New Orleans? After all the city's been through? With a great guy like Drew Brees as their QB? And after the franchise suffered through the dark days of the Ditka era? Plus, Michael "Heckuva Job, Brownie" Brown is rooting for the Colts.

OK, fine. If you're from Indiana, you're allowed to root for the Colts. Or maybe if you went to Tennessee and you're a big Peyton Manning fan. But THAT'S IT.

What's your prediction? For all the attention focused on Peyton, who's building a case to be considered one of the best quarterbacks ever, the Colts defense this year might be the best of the Manning era. While I'll be pulling for the Saints, my guess is that the Colts D stands up a bit better than the Saints D, giving Indianapolis a 38-24 win.

Though the game itself sometimes fails to live up to the hype, there's one Super Bowl Sunday event that always delivers -- the Puppy Bowl! Animal Planet's annual event features DC-area puppies in need of adoption playing on a mini "field":
