UPDATE 9:54 PM: DPVA Chair Dickie Cranwell says...
"Tonight's results continue the Democratic momentum in Virginia in 2010. This year, Democrats have already won two special elections in districts that Governor McDonnell carried by double-digits.
Tonight's win should also send a clear message to Bob McDonnell and Virginia Republicans: Protect Virginia's public schools. The 41st House District, which voted for McDonnell just 5 months ago, today elected a Democrat who campaigned against McDonnell's massive education cuts. Virginia became the best state for business and the best state to raise a child by investing in high-quality schools. We simply cannot afford to go back.
UPDATE 5:40 AM Wednesday: With all votes counted, it's Eileen Filler-Corn 5,758 to Kerry Bolognese 5,721. Eileen heads down to Richmond today for her swearing in as Delegate. Congratulations, Eileen!
