The vote this evening was 69-42 for Susan Mariner (who I endorsed this morning) as the new Virginia Beach Democratic Committee chair. Congratulations to my friend and fellow Democratic activist; she is going to do a great job!UPDATE: I hear that Susan gave a great speech, talked about growing the party and getting everyone involved.
UPDATE #2: In other news, congratulations to Peter Rousselot for a great 4-year run as Arlington County Democratic Committee (ACDC) chair. Peter was everything a Democratic Committee chair should be, including a strong appreciation for new media/blogs. Peter's successor will be Mike Lieberman, with Maureen Markham as vice chair.
