Meanwhile, the Christian Science Monitor reports that one of the days Gov. Sanford was hiking was "Naked Hiking Day." No joke. And The Fix points out a couple other Republican disappearing acts. Is this a pattern? I don't know, but I sure don't want to find out by electing Bob McDonnell here in Virginia, that's all I have to say.

It was with '09 in mind that Sanford took to the stage to introduce VA AG Bob McDonnell (R), who is running unopposed for his party's gubernatorial nomination and recently resigned his statewide position to focus on the race...Thank goodness Sanford wasn't MIA (or naked hiking) when it came time to introduce Bob McDonnell! :)
