Daily Kos/Research 2000 is
out with a new Virginia poll which indicates pretty much a dead heat (a 1-point lead for Bob McDonnell over Creigh Deeds) in the governor's race. These results compare to the
previous DKos/R2K poll, which had Bob McDonnell up by 12 points (46%-34%). That translates into a 11-point net gain for Creigh Deeds since the 6/1-6/3 poll. Not bad!
Just a reminder that two other recent polls had Creigh leading by 6 points (
Rasmussen) and 4 points (
Anzalone-Liszt). Overall, this continues to be a good place for Creigh to be right now, but this election's going to be a war - no question about it.
