Carole Pratt Launches New TV Ad: "Shipping"

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Above is the excellent new TV ad by Dr. Carole Pratt, running in the 6th House of Delegates district against Delegate Anne Crockett-Stark. Below is the press release accompanying the ad, "Shipping."

In other campaign-related news, Pratt has been endorsed by the Virginia Education Association. In addition, Pratt recently announced that she had doubled Crockett-Stark in fundraising, that "well over 90% of Carole’s contributions come from individuals, not special interest groups," and that "Since the campaign began, Carole has the support of more than two times the number of donors as the incumbent." Go Carole Pratt!
Carole Pratt, candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates, launched the first television ad of the campaign on Tuesday. The commercial is called “Shipping” and will air all across the district.

“Shipping” depicts local high school graduates being packed into boxes and sent away.

“This is exactly what is going on here in Southwest Virginia,” said Carole. “We have a booming export business that ships away our best and brightest young people every year because there are not enough opportunities for them. We need a delegate who will fight to keep our kids here, and unfortunately Delegate Crockett-Stark hasn’t done nearly enough to ensure that our young people have jobs waiting for them when they graduate.”

“This ad would be funny if it weren’t so true,” added campaign manager Eric Hyers. “Our current delegate takes her cues from party bosses and special interests, and as a result she has done a poor job at expanding opportunities here in Southwest Virginia. Carole will never have to look to a party leader to find out how to vote. We desperately need someone in Richmond who will always stand up for our district regardless of the political climate.”
