Wagner maintains that Bolling has not met a number of his basic responsibilities as Lieutenant-Governor and has been a “No-Show.” In particular, she points to the meetings of various boards and commissions of which the Lieutenant Governor is a member and suggests that Bolling has not even met his minimal obligations of attending.Meanwhile, Wagner's campaign manager Elisabeth Pearson responded earlier today to what it calls "the Bolling campaign's excuse for his absenteeism for meetings of the state boards and commissions during his time as Lieutenant Governor." According to Pearson:
Until yesterday, I thought this was a minor note in the campaign.
I don’t anymore.
It's not surprising that Bill Bolling thinks the duties of the office of Lieutenant Governor aren't worth his actual time and effort. After all, this is the same guy that said he didn't have enough time to do his work as a legislator, and simply relied on lobbyists for his information. The real question is: what does Bill Bolling have time for?Good question, I've wondered the same thing myself for a long time!
P.S. Holsworth concludes that "Much of the public has yet to witness it, but this is becoming one tough race." I hope he's right!
