Tom Perriello Nails It: Dem's Have to Deliver the Goods!

Tom Perriello nails it as usual, this time regarding Tuesday's losses for Democrats in Virginia and how to avoid further losses in 2010. A few highlights by Tom.

*"I think [Tuesday night] shows across the country that it's not enough to be a Democrat or to be a Republican, people are looking to what you stand for, what results you deliver on, they expect you know your local issues, to focus on the economy...the consistent theme is you've gotta deliver results for people, that's what they're looking for."

*"One thing to look at on Tuesday is not just the voters who did show up but the voters who didn't show up...we promised health care reform and energy...if you look, though, it's not just what you're for or against, it's about what you accomplish, we've cut $300 billion out of the original [health care reform] proposal, we now have this thing deficit reducing, not just for the first decade where you can play plenty of tricks, but that second decade is balanced..."
