Post-ABC Poll: Those Who Understand Health Reform Support It, Those Who Don't Oppose It

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I didn't see this in the online edition of the Post yet, but it's in the paper copy I got this morning. Check this out.

*Of people who say "they have a good basic understanding of the changes being proposed to the health-care system," 56% support health reform and 43% oppose it.

*Of people who say "the changes being proposed for the health care system are too complicated to have a good understanding," 38% support health reform and 57% oppose it.

In short, people who say they understand health reform support it by a 13-point margin, while those who admit they don't understand it also don't support it, by a 19-point margin. Very striking.
