This sucks:Republican Ron Villanueva was declared the winner of the 21st District race after a review of rejected absentee and provisional ballots tonight in Virginia Beach, setting the stage for a probable recount.So...add Mathieson's loss to a disastrous Election Day last Tuesday, in which we lost all three statewide offices as well as:
Villanueva defeated Democratic Del. Bobby Mathieson by 13 votes. The announcement came shortly after 11 p.m.

Once again, fine job by the Deeds campaign, the DPVA, the Democratic House Caucus (great idea, by the way, to pour large sums of money into campaigns which were long shots and/or safe, and not put that money into close races like Matheison's and Vanderhye's!), and the "Coordinated." Not.
UPDATE: I've changed the last part of this post to a more neutral tone. Let's just say, I believe there are judgment questions as to why money was allocated the way it was by the House Caucus.
