At first, I thought this headline - "Republican Surge Continues" - on the RPV blog must be a joke. According to none other than - yep, you guessed it, Jeff Frederick! - "No doubt about it, Republicans remain on a roll."Just a quick review of that "roll" over the past few years: Virginia Republicans have lost both U.S. Senate seats, their House delegation majority (currently 6-5 Democratic), control of the State Senate, a large chunk of their majority in the House of Delegates, and of course the White House (with a Democratic presidential candidate carrying Virginia for the first since 1964). Whether that's a "surge" or a "roll," I just hope the Republicans stay on it! :)
