Great pick by the Deeds campaign, Levar Stoney is one of the best and brightest in the Democratic Party of Virginia. I'm very glad to see this.
I wanted to let you know first that Democratic Party of Virginia Executive Director Levar Stoney will take a leave of absence to become Political Director for Creigh Deeds's gubernatorial campaign.
I'm immensely proud of Levar, who has served as Party Political Director (2006 - 2008) and Executive Director since 2008. Needless to say, Levar will still be actively working with the state party and with local parties around the commonwealth. We wish him great success in this endeavor.
In the coming days, I'll be announcing a plan for an Interim Executive Director to fill in through November.
