Leading Progressive, Pro-Hillary Blogger Taylor Marsh: "Just don't vote for Brian Moran"

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Apparently, Brian Moran's attack on Hillary Clinton supporters is (shockingly) not playing well among...wait for it...Hillary Clinton supporters! :) A few minutes ago, leading pro-Hillary (and progressive) blogger Taylor Marsh tweeted this:
Surprise of the day. I didn't care much about the VA primary until today. Brian Moran is a classless jerk. http://tinyurl.com/rxh7h4
Click on that link and you get Taylor Marsh's Huffington Post article, which has a lot to say about the Virginia governor's race, including the following quotable quotes:

*"Moran's desperate and it's showing."

*"I hope McAuliffe trounces [Moran]. Hey, but if you don't like Terry McAuliffe, give your vote to Creigh Deeds. Call it a vote for the underdog. Just don't vote for Brian Moran."

*"... when reading in the Washington Post a report that Moran took his campaign for governor to a new low, basically saying that Terry McAuliffe shouldn't be elected because he supported Hillary Clinton in the primaries, that was it."

*"... if that isn't bad enough, Moran's running targeted ads in African American communities that are really low considering Hillary Clinton has one of the top spots in President Obama's cabinet."

*"No one and I mean no one wants to rehash the primaries."

*"... Moran's moves to make Hillary Clinton the scapegoat for his inability to catch McAuliffe are despicable."

*"Let's hope Moran's cheap shot doesn't influence Virginia Democratic primary voters. He's proven he doesn't have the class to represent such a great state."

I can't help but wonder what all the Hillary supporters on Brian Moran's campaign think of this, coming from someone they used to be closely allied with. Combined with fellow Hillary supporter Ben Tribbett's anger at Brian Moran and Teacherken's increasing dismay at the Moran campaign's tone, Taylor Marsh's Huffington Post column appears to be confirming a growing trend: the progressive blogosphere is turning against Brian Moran (and, in Taylor Marsh's case, to Terry McAuliffe), big time.

UPDATE: Uh, oh, it gets worse, as "mediagadfly" writes, "If I lived in VA, I could never vote for Brian Moran because he made me feel bad for Terry McAuliffe. WHICH I NEVER WANTED TO DO. :| :| :|"
