RPV Thinks Pelosi is "Third in Line to the Presidency." Wrong.
Tuesday, September 8, 2009
The RPV just came out with a video that attempts to mock Creigh Deeds' comment that he wouldn't know Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid if he "saw them." The only problem is, the RPV gets a basic fact of U.S. Democracy wrong: namely, the Speaker of the House of Representatives is SECOND IN LINE to the Presidency, not THIRD IN LINE as the RPV claims. Perhaps the RPV might want to start using "teh Google" or the evil, liberal Wikipedia, where they'd discover that the presidential line of succession goes:
1. Vice President (Joe Biden)
2. Speaker of the House of Representatives (yes, that would be Nancy Pelosi)
3. President pro tempore of the Senate (Robert Byrd)
4. Secretary of State (Hillary Clinton)
etc.
So, who's the one who should be mocked here, Creigh Deeds or the RPV? Hmmmmmmm.
