Republicans: Please Nominate Bradley Rees!

Friday, September 11, 2009

Fifth District Republicans: Please, please, pretty please with sugar on top, can you PLEASE nominate this guy to run against Tom Perriello next year?
Bradley Rees, a candidate for the Republican nomination to run for Congress from the 5th District in 2010, was convicted Wednesday of illegally possessing concealed weapons.

Rees was fined $100 in Lynchburg General District Court, and said afterward he would “absolutely” continue his campaign to unseat Rep. Tom Perriello, D-5th District.
Yes, please do continue your campaign, and Godspeed to you!

Meanwhile, Waldo Jaquith sums up my feelings towards Rees:
I adore this guy. He’s actually proud that he’s totally unqualified to serve in congress. He’s like our very own Joe the Plumber. As I’ve said, I’m looking forward to his candidacy like Jon Stewart looks forward to a Sarah Palin candidacy.

By the way, Larry Sabato is out with his latest 2010 forecast, listing Perriello as a "Toss-Up" right now. So again, I ask 5th District Republicans, pleasepleasepleaseplease nominate Bradley Rees, and guarantee that the amazing young Congressman who defeated the supposedly unbeatable Virgil Goode in 2008 sticks around for at least another term, preferably many more terms to come. Thank you.

P.S. For more hilarity, if you have a warped sense of humor anyway, check out the Rees for Congress Twitter page. Hey, this is not just funny, it's Sarah Palin funny! Hahahahahahaha.
