Barack Obama Weekly Address: "Losing Insurance Can Happen to Anyone"

The transcript of this weekly address is here. To me, the key benefits for people (like myself) with health insurance are, as Obama says:

*"...mak[ing] it illegal for insurance companies to deny you coverage because of a pre-existing condition, [to] drop your coverage when you get sick, or [to] water it down when you need it most."

*Making it illegal for insurance companies "to place some arbitrary cap on the amount of coverage you can receive in a given year or over a lifetime."

*"...plac[ing] a limit on how much you can be charged for out-of-pocket expenses – because no one should go broke just because they get sick."

*Nothing that "require[s] you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have."

Great stuff, we should all be strongly supportive of this!
