PPP Polling is out with a new one for Virgina statewide Democratic candiates, and it shows tight races pretty much everywhere. Here are the "top-line" results; for more detail, see the PPP blog.
Governor
Undecided: 46%
Terry McAuliffe: 21%
Brian Moran: 19%
Creigh Deeds: 14%
Lieutenant Governor
Undecided: 73%
Jody Wagner: 9%
Pat Edmonson: 6%
Michael Signer: 5%
Rich Savage: 4%
Jon Bowerbank: 3%
P.S. My takeaway from this is simple: if the election were held today, UNDECIDED would win in a landslide! :) Seriously, though, we've got a long ways to go before non-political-junkie people start focusing on this race, so this poll probably means next to nothing. Of course, since I'm a political junkie, I find it endlessly fascinating. LOL.
P.P.S. Two more thoughts. First, Creigh Deeds appears to be trailing in this poll and also in terms of money. Is that what this poll is reflecting? Second, there appears to be no front runner in the LG race, while Jon Bowerbank's doing a bit worse than I would have expected after crisscrossing the state for months now. We'll see what this looks like in a month or two...
UPDATE: h/t to Kenton Ngo for the "heads up." Also, Kenton has more at New Dominion Project.
