Former Attorney General Bob McDonnell and RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick seemed like best friends forever in this photo (in 2006, during George Allen's "macaca meltdown tour of Virginia" - ha), but something changed. What's strange is that McDonnell twice supported Frederick keeping his job, including after Jeff's infamous Obama/Osama bin Laden comparison (that was perfectly fine with McDonnell, apparently). Also, at the Republican "advance" (aka, "retreat") in December 2008, McDonnell worked behind the scenes to prevent a vote to oust Frederick as Chairman. Yet now, McDonnell is calling for Frederick's ouster as RPV chair.
The question is, what changed McDonnell’s mind about Jeff Frederick?
