How Progressive Are You? Take the CAP Quiz!

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

I just took the Center for American Progress' "How Progressive Are You" test and scored a 299/400 ("very progressive"). That compares to an average score for Americans of 209.5. How about you?

By the way, my definition of "progressive" agrees to a large extent with the Center for American Progress' definition:
...We believe an open and effective government can champion the common good over narrow self-interest, harness the strength of our diversity, and secure the rights and safety of its people. And we believe our nation must always be a beacon of hope and strength to the rest of the world. Progressives are often described as idealistic enough to believe change is possible and practical enough to make it happen.
Idealistic enough and practical enough...as opposed to Jeff Frederick/Bob McDonnell Republicans, who apparently don't believe that positive change is possible and are too rigidly ideological to make it happen, regardless.
