Video: Terry McAuliffe Campaigning for Barack Obama

Friday, May 8, 2009

As we all know, Terry McAuliffe campaigned hard last fall for Barack Obama in Virginia and elsewhere. In fact, the Obama campaign was so happy with Terry's efforts, they put out this YouTube video, "Virginia Issues: Healthcare," featuring Terry McAuliffe speaking in Charlottesville. I thought it was worth reminding people of how much Terry's efforts last fall were appreciated by the Obama campaign and by Obama supporters like me. Thank you, Terry McAuliffe.

UPDATE: Here's a partial list of Terry McAuliffe campaign appearances in Virginia last fall for Barack Obama.

September 29
South Boston, Danville, Martinsville

September 30
Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Asheville

October 7
Norfolk, Williamsburg

October 26
Alexandria

November 2
Bristol, Castlewood, Tazewell

November 3
Wytheville, Galax, Blacksburg, Roanoke, Charlottesville/UVA

UPDATE: Believe it or not, the Moran campaign actually has started to attack Terry McAuliffe on his enthusiastic and energetic support for Barack Obama, bizarrely claiming that Terry was "slow" to get on board with Obama. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth, as this video and a huge amount of other evidence indicates. Josh Chernila has a lot more thoughts at his blog on the Moran campaign's baseless, flailing attacks. Josh adds:
My questions for Brian Moran is, where was your support for Obama in 2008? Clearly you bravely stookdup for Barack in the primary... what? no you didn't? oh, you were courageously silent through the primary. Well, so it goes.
My question is, after the Democratic Party came together magnificently in the wake of the Obama-Clinton primary, in large part thanks to the graciousness of Hillary Clinton and the backing of the vast majority of Hillary's supporters, why would Brian Moran's campaign want to reopen old wounds now? Especially when Democrats will need to be unified starting June 10 in order to defate Bob McDonnell. Grrrrr.
