In November, the citizens of Central and Southside Virginia elected Tom Perriello to go to Washington and fight for economic revival for the Fifth District . He has taken that sacred duty seriously and brought new energy and solutions to Congress. Congressman Perriello's first bill providing a $2,500 tax credit for higher-education will be signed into law on Tuesday. In his first month, Tom also voted to give health care to 55,000 more Virginian children, and showed his independence by bucking Democratic leadership and voting against the Wall Street Bailout.
