couldn't agree more with this.I had the misfortune of watching ABC News lead with the new pap smear guidelines tonight and watched them completely leave the impression that these were GOVERNMENT guidelines (they're not), that these guidelines are harbingers of government RATIONING and that this helps the Republicans in their arguments against health care reform.
Yes, that was the completely misleading lead story on ABC News tonight. I'm livid.
Seriously, if you get your "news" from any of the national network evening "news" broadcasts (except for PBS), you're better off not watching any "news" at all. It's dumbed-down trash (and "infotainment" fluff pieces) by people who have no freakin' clue what they're talking about. Seriously, it's that bad...avoid at all costs!!!
