It was fun while it lasted, but Pat Edmonson has NOT filed signatures to run for lieutenant governor. Instead, Edmonson appears to be running for the House of Delegates against Peter Schmidt in the 82nd district (Virginia Beach - incumbent, Bob Purkey). Edmonson's departure leaves Democrats with three LG candidates - Jon Bowerbank, Mike Signer and Jody Wagner. To the extent that Edmonson would have drawn support from the Virginia Beach area, I would think that Wagner would be the one that benefits the most from Edmonson's failure to make the ballot. We'll see.
