In TV this is called "counterprogramming,", like in 1999 when the "World Wrestling Entertainment (then known as the World Wrestling Federation) counterprogrammed the Super Bowl halftime show with Halftime Heat '99 on the USA Network, featuring a match in which Mankind fought The Rock." I wonder if Creigh's fish fry will feature anything like that? Maybe, given Creigh's love of classic rock, they'll have Deeds (or campaign manager Joe Abbey?) doing Karaoke renditions of Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, or Derek and the Dominos? Just a thought. :)
