Senior-Silencing Mayor Campaigns for Rust

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Interesting...the obnoxious Mayor of Herndon, the same guy who silenced a senior citizen trying to speak at a recent Town Council hearing, is now out there actively campaigning for Tom Rust. What's interesting is that I hear Rust has been telling folks at the doors that he doesn't support the Town Council's bullying behavior. If that's the case, then why is he having them campaign for him?

Does Tom Rust Condone Bullying a Herndon Senior Citizen?

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

For more on the protest against the Kaine/Miller fundraiser that this citizen of Herndon is talking about, click here. And, as I wrote then, where is Tom "Abuser Fees" Rust in all of this, aside from remaining dead silent? Does Rust approve of his political allies protesting when the governor of Virginia comes to town? Does he approve of signs (e.g., "say no to socialism")like the ones displayed at that event? Is this what supposedly "moderate" Republicans do? Does he support the first amendment to the constitution, guaranteeing the right of free speech to U.S. citizens like 81-year-old Ruth Tatlock?

Needless to say, it's time for new leadership in the 86th HoD district - Stevens Miller for Delegate!

Virginia Autism Project Tells Tom Rust to Knock It Off

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

From the Virginia Autism Project:
Del Rust (bolding added by me for emphasis):

I would like to follow up on a conversation I had with your campaign manager two weeks ago regarding language on your website that referred to a preliminary press release that was issued by the Virginia Autism Project (VAP) and contained responses received to a survey we conducted. In emails, on your website, and in several pieces of mail, you have incorrectly implied the support of the Virginia Autism Project. I now see that your website contains the following statement, “Tom is also listed as a supporter of autism with the Virginia Autism Project.”

I wish to clarify that VAP has not issued and does not maintain a list of supporters of autism. VAP is a non-partisan 501c3 organization that does not support or oppose any candidate. I respectfully request that you update your website and other communications immediately.

Sincerely,
Jodi Folta
Vice President
Virginia Autism Project
P.S. For more on Tom Rust's lack of support for autism coverage, see the ad above by the Stevens Miller campaign.
